Read the incredible story below...

Me and my dad were sitting in a deer blind in a soybean field. It was the last weekend of the Kansas rifle season so we decided to try and rattle in a buck. We had 3 smaller bucks come out first within 20 minutes of rattling. I shot at the bigger of the 3 (a six pointer) but missed. My Dad told me we would wait awhile and start rattling again. Within 10 minutes of rattling this big boy came out stomping his feet and looking for a fight. He turned slightly giving me a good shot and I hit him right behind the shoulder. The 7MM knocked him off his feet and then he got up to try to run. I thought he was going to get away but he only made it about 30 feet before dropping for the last time. When we got to him he has a big wound on the side of his neck from fighting. His spread was 18 1/2 inches on the inside and has some LONG tines! I was so excited I couldn't hardly push the buttons on my cell phone to call my Grandpa to tell him! It was great. My Dad said the rutt had been kind of weird this year and that's probably why we were able to rattle him in even with it being the middle of December. I will never forget that hunt with my Dad sitting right beside me sharing the moment of my first buck...and a huge one at that. I hope that one has ALOT of babies!!
